Holiday Cottages

“What a sensational, spectacular and stunning place. My friends and I decided to book a last minute staycation in August and The Oak Barn's Weaver's Cottages couldn't have been more perfect. As two couples, we occupied one cottage but I'm already trying to organise another occasion when we can return with more family and friends because the adjacent positioning of the cottages makes it an easy choice to enjoy a vacation with a larger group. The cottages themselves are so tastefully decorated while respecting the original features of their history. The beds are comfortable with quality linen and the cottage was immaculate and clean. The hosts were brilliant. They were friendly, courteous, very responsive and helpful. The location is nothing short of spectacular. The grounds are beautiful and nice to stroll around. When we stayed, the sun set perfectly between two of the other barns/sheds providing us with the most picturesque and breathtaking view over which we enjoyed our sundowners. There is a lot to do in the area, such as wine tours and gin tours and the farm shops are to die for. We picked up some wonderful produce from a local farm shop and BBQ'd it on the 2nd evening because The Oak Barn presented such a comfortable place to kick back and relax we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back without question.”

“Lovely accommodation, well kitted out, well located and scenic. Near good pubs and other eateries. Also many castles, gardens and vineyards to visit nearby. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.”

Colin, May 2021

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are stunning. The cottage was spotless and even though we couldn’t really work out the heating initially, Tim was responsive and we did get the place to warm up evenly eventually! Would definitely return.”

“We stayed at one of the Weaver's Cottages for a week in April and had the most fantastic time. The cottage itself was full of character given that it is part of an old oast house, but was very cosy and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The surrounding fields are used by a local sheep farmer and we were lucky enough to stay at a time when there were plenty of recently arrived lambs, which was a real treat. There were also some tree swings at the end of the field which my 9 year old daughter insisted on visiting every day. Polly and Carly were always on hand to offer useful local advice and answer any questions. Local pubs, the Bull and the Woodcock were both a 10 minute walk and well worth a visit for evening meals. The location offers a wealth of opportunity for day trips and we easily filled a week with trips to the coast (Whitstable, Camber Sands and Hastings), plus plenty of castles including Sissinghurst, Bodiam and Leeds Castle. There's also numerous vineyards within a few miles if you want to try the local vino! Tim and Deana have a wonderful venue and we would definitely return in the future.”

Joe, April 2021

“This Property is amazing, has everything in it like being at home. Hope to return again soon, thank you to the owners for letting us stay at short notice.”

Cheryl, November 2020

“Perfect holiday in the heart of beautiful Kent. The cottage in an historic Oast, looking out onto the beautiful oak barn was perfect. We had a comfortable week staying here, the setting is idyllic. Sheep grazing in fields and listening to owls in the evening. Deana and Tim were welcoming hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. In regards to the a Covid situation we had no concerns and felt confident in the extra care taken. Thank you for a lovely holiday.”

“Excellent accommodation in a beautiful place. Everything was perfect.”

“We had a fantastic stay at Frame Farm. The location is perfect for exploring Kent and East Sussex. The cottages are of great quality and an ideal size for our family of four. Our two, very energetic young boys, loved walking through the fields of sheep, playing on the swings and watching the wildlife. The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend!”

Emily, September 2020

“The setting of The Oak Barn is delightful and the ambiance very friendly and relaxing. Easy walking distance to two pubs where you can enjoy an excellent (non pub chain) meal. The hosts are charming, and helpful but not intrusive. The interior of the Cottage is of a high standard, and well thought out, especially the kitchen area. Linen and towels are of a good quality and plenty of hot water in the power shower ! For a visit to Kent, with Sissinghurst plus numerous other National Trust properties within easy striking distance I would highly recommend The Oak Barn, Weavers Cottage, Iden Green, Benenden.”

David, September 2020

“Kent break. Delightful, peaceful location. Accommodation first class and well presented.”

Christopher Warrell, September 2020

“A refuel and unwind in rural Kent. Our stay at Frame Farm surpassed all expectations. A beautiful tranquil place for our nine nights’ stay. Weavers’ cottages suitable for any staycation with easy access to open countryside. Benenden village just five minutes walk away provides all that one needs. Footpaths and trails including North Weald Landscape trail easily accessible. Frame farm allows easy access and a central base to visit Tudor villages, gardens, vineyards and wineries, castles and a county steeped in history. After an enjoyable day out, nothing better than watching the sun set with a glass of one’s favourite tipple sitting on the patio. A great start to any day there is Yoga or stretching on the decking by the pond. We will return as so much more to do and see assured perfect accommodation.”

Laura, August - September 2020

“Delightful weekend stay. We met with Tim and Deana, they were very warm and helpful. They made sure we were comfortable and attended to our needs efficiently. The site is beautiful and the 13th century barn restoration was superb. We were given a tour of it, which was magical and ideal for weddings and corporate functions. Highly recommend it for a restful weekend away all throughout the year.”

Melvin, August - September 2020

“The property was very clean and comfortable, an ideal holiday home, the owners are on hand if needed. Everything required was included, the property has been renovated to a high standard but still has alot of character. Surrounded by fields, it is very peaceful, walks form the property and lots to do by car not too far away.”

Keith, August 2020

“We had a lovely week at the Oak barn. The accommodation was really clean and the access to the grounds and fields around was lovely. There are local pubs and shops which you can walk to plus larger shops and villages nearby. There is a lot to do with families in the local area including beaches, bike trails and country walks. The owners and staff were also extremely helpful giving us tips and advice which made the holiday really special. Thanks so much, we had a great time and I’m sure we’ll be back.”

Liz, August 2020

“Very relaxing place, clean, tidy, quality! Stunning location and very well looked after by the hosts. Great location within easy drive of the whole of Kent. Stunning area, quiet and peaceful location, property is historic and excellently renovated with quality fixtures and fittings, grounds are very well looked after. Would I go back? Defiantly!”

Neil, August 2020

“Wonderful cottage in the Kent countryside. We had a great stay at 3 Weaver's Cottage. The cottage has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard - Deana and Tim had clearly put a lot of thought into the amenities and facilities guests would need. The cottage was spotlessly clean - we all agreed it was the cleanest holiday rental we'd ever stayed in. The setting is idyllic - surrounded by countryside. There are some great local walks both within and outside of Deana and Tim's estate. The walk to the local pub (The Bull at Benenden) was less than 20 minutes; the pub was charming with a really good food menu. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here, and we'll definitely be back for another stay!”

Ross, August 2020

“We had a very enjoyable visit at Willow Cottage. The property is kitted out to a very high spec and the grounds are beautiful. Very quiet location, perfect for a lovely, family holiday. Loved the table tennis too!”

Emma, August 2020

“Great base for the Weald. We stayed a week in the property and used this as a base to travel both locally and slightly further afield, including Canterbury and the Coast. Property well kept and in a nice location, within a 10 minutes walk of two pubs, The Bull and Woodcock, both recommended for a drink and a bite to eat. The property is a converted Oast House, and 5 units available. We stayed in the 1 bedroom unit, which for a couple we found perfect for our needs. Also on site is a separate barn, which would normally be used for Weddings, but current climate makes this difficult.”

Mark, August 2020

“We have just returned from the most enjoyable family week at 1 Weaver’s Cottage, Oak Barn, Frame Farm. What can we say... Deana, Tim and all the Staff were the perfect hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. The location is fantastic for getting around the visitor attractions around Kent and the seaside, we visited numerous Castles in the area. The cottage and grounds were spotless, the pub nearby was excellent and there were large shops not too far away. We also enjoyed the table tennis and watching all the wildlife and stars. Such a peaceful, quiet, relaxing location. Thank You.”

Squire family, August 2020

“The Oak Barn Frame Farm is an absolute gem of a place to stay. Utterly fabulous in all ways. The setting is wonderful in beautiful countryside yet close to amenities, walks and great pubs. The individual cottages are stunning and have all the things you will need for a great stay. Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and sitting/dining area all well designed in a contemporary comfortable style. Beds and bed linen are top quality to ensure a great night’s sleep. We stayed for ten days in between moving homes and we wanted for nothing. The owners Deana and Tim are around yet unobtrusive; kind and helpful in every way. Whilst we were there we saw into the great Oak Barn wedding venue...we were totally mesmerised by its ancient, preserved beauty yet contemporary finish to today’s tastes. Fabulous.”
